Ode to DOT

This video was taken from a whale watching boat off the coast of San Diego. And I was not on the boat.

But it's freaking amazing...and I love Dolphins.

Can't get it up...

So the stitches are out, the bandages are off, and I still cant lift my foot up or put it down all the way.  It is a mix between pins and needles, pain, and swelling along with a 5" incision on the top of my foot.  In case you wanted to know.

My mom decided to make a turkey and the whole house smells like game.  Along with daily visits from my grandmother with fruit and prunes to keep my body "moving."  My sister wants nothing to do with me, all I have is my dog and my crutches.  Life rocks.

It's cut and hurts...

Tuesday I had foot surgery.  I have this ridiculous bootie and crutches for 2 weeks....There was some kind of mass from my 4th and 5th toe about 5 inches in.  I went in for surgery and apparently was a hit in recovery.  I asked the anesthesiologist if he had a significant other and was trying to sell a nurse extensions. The point of this post is to let everyone know that : THE MASS WAS BENIGN, IT WAS A BUNDLE OF BROKEN BLOOD VESSELS.  The world no longer needs to stop and its time for some liquid and retail therapy.

CAMP KWEEBEC

This weekend over 600 alum from Camp Kweebec celebrated the 75th anniversary with a poppin Cabaret Party.  It was so amazing to be back at camp, and I don't know how I ever lived in those bunks and stayed for 8 weeks at the HOTTEST place on earth.  I visited my old bunks, the mansion house, and counselors.  There was a dance with Bobby Morganstein like old times, fireworks, 3-5-10, and lots of hanging out.  It terrentially downpoured the whole time, which made it even more like camp.  Such a cool night. I took zero pictures myself, so I borrowed some.

Hence, why I am in none.

Brian Batt!  Last night, my talented Step-Bro had an art show at Vintage Motorcycle Studios.  He had about 15 peices there, which were unbelievable.  He is an amazing artist and does all genre's of art.  There were lots of people there and he opened us into his world of art.  Here are some pic's.  Check out his website.

I love to Play...

Piano!

 I recently decided to take a 6 week course at Temple Center City Campus...Intro to Piano.  Really, I just want to learn how to play songs, like Alicia Keys, or Counting Crows.  And I want to be able to sing along with the songs.  However, this class actually teaches you how to read music...who woulda thunk it? I have ZERO patience but I am learning G and F right now.  I know how to play with my right hand, not my left.  So there are 3 of us in class.  The girl in front of me has a leopard weave (that I cannot stop staring at), and the girl next to me doesn't speak english fluently.  The teacher tried to use to write and wipe board on the first night and ruined it.  Awesome.

I want to be Rich...

So during this lovely therapeutic group I ran at work today, my kids (1st-5th grade) were discussing : What do I want to be when I grow up? The following answers were:

1. Mall Cop

2. Working at a corner store 

3. Working at DOTS

4. Supermarket Cashier

During this, a 1st grader enchanted us with background vocals of "When I Grow Up," by the Pussycat Dolls.  As I was walking out of a classroom after yelling at one of my kids to stop calling a peer a pirate whore, I hear another one of my kids ask  "What is mating?"   The teacher  up by saying it is when 2 bees really love each other and want to make more bees.  Is that for real? What a treat to my morning.
